Projects
o1 Music and Creativity Research
In a world where creativity is essential but often stifled by everyday stress, my master thesis delves into the intriguing relationship between music, stress, and creative thinking. Through a carefully designed experimental study involving 169 participants, I explored whether listening to music could enhance creativity by reducing stress.
The results revealed that music significantly boosted creative performance, particularly in tasks requiring divergent thinking. Interestingly, while music did enhance creativity, the expected stress reduction as a mediator was not observed, suggesting a more complex interplay between these factors. This research offers valuable insights for individuals and organizations looking to foster creativity, highlighting music as a simple, accessible tool for boosting creative thinking in both stressful and non-stressful environments.
o2 Leveraging AI for Data Analysis
In this project, I conducted an in-depth explorative data analysis on a comprehensive dataset—the Global AI Index—using the ChatGPT Code Interpreter (Python). The Global AI Index evaluates the AI capabilities of 62 countries based on 143 distinct indicators, offering a robust framework for understanding global AI readiness.
The analysis involved leveraging AI to clean, process, and visualize the data. Using Python, I conducted a series of statistical analyses, including distribution analysis, correlation matrices, and comparative studies across regions, income groups, and political regimes.
The results underscored significant disparities in AI capabilities across different countries and highlighted the critical role of economic and political factors in shaping AI development.
o3 Case Study Theranos
This case study critically examines Theranos’ ambitious claims to revolutionize blood testing with breakthrough technology. We dissect the gap between their promises and reality, focusing on strategic and operational failures.
Key Insights from the Case:
Value Creation vs. Reality: Uncover how Theranos’ claims of cost-efficiency and speed fell short, revealing discrepancies in their value proposition.
Strategic Failures: Analyze how Theranos’ reliance on patents and excessive secrecy undermined trust and regulatory compliance.
Innovation and Disruption: Assess whether Theranos’ technology and business model met the criteria for disruptive innovation and what could have been if their technology had worked.
Why It Matters: Theranos offers vital lessons on aligning innovation with real-world performance and maintaining transparency in regulated industries.
o4 Design Thinking and Implementation
This project focused on reducing stigma for individuals with invisible disabilities at University. A design thinking approach was used to develop a user-centric mentor system that provided safe spaces and external support.
The solution was refined iteratively, incorporating feedback and empathy-driven insights. To ensure consistent support, mentor sessions were made mandatory, shifting responsibility to the institution.
In the subsequent course, "Implementing Innovation," the concept was implemented by building a functional website for the mentor system. A Scrum framework was employed to bring the design to life, ensuring practicality and user focus.
